The fire hydrant flushing is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 28, 2014 for a period of approximately 30 days. Flushing will be conducted Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 am and 3 pm.
Periodically, you will see Haddon Township Water Department personnel releasing water from hydrants. Hydrant flushing is necessary to test the hydrants to make sure adequate flow and pressure is available. Flushing verifies the proper operation of hydrants and valves to maintain firefighting capability. During flushing (7 am to 3 pm) please avoid using dishwashers, washing machines, and running of hot water.
