Full Circle Sounds: A soundtrack to healing, where Black joy meets mind, body & soul sponsored by the Haddon Twp. Equity Initiative

Full Circle Sounds is a gathering rooted in the understanding that music has always been a source of power, healing, and collective memory within the Black community. For generations, sound has carried our stories—helping us survive, resist, celebrate, and imagine freer futures. From spirituals and gospel to jazz, hip-hop, and soul, music has been both refuge and resistance.
Hosted by Haddon Township Equity Initiative (HTEI), Ida’s Bookshop, and the Township of Haddon , this Black History Month experience invites the community to reflect on how sound connects us across time. Music holds joy and grief, protest and praise. It regulates our bodies, grounds our spirits, and creates space for belonging. In moments when language falls short, music speaks—reminding us who we are and where we come from.

Trick or Treat Hours & Safety Tips!

Happy Halloween from the Haddon Township Police Department!

We want to wish everyone a fun and safe Halloween night! As you head out for trick-or-treating, costume parties, and all the spooky festivities, please remember to stay safe and watch out for each other:
Be extra cautious for pedestrian traffic – Kids and families will be walking through neighborhoods, often in dark costumes, so please slow down and stay alert on the roads.
Parents and guardians: Equip your little trick-or-treaters with flashlights or glow sticks to help them stay visible, and remind them to look both ways before crossing streets.
If you’re driving: Take it slow, especially in residential areas, and be ready for excited children who may not be paying attention to traffic.
Please remember: Trick-or-Treating hours are between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and the Haddon Twp curfew for Halloween is 10:00 PM, so let’s wrap up the fun and head home safely!
Have a great time, and as always, we’re here if you need us.
Happy Halloween! ‍♀️‍♂️

Holiday on Haddon

Friday, December 4, 2026 at 7 pm

Santa Claus is coming to town on Friday, December 4th for the annual “Holiday on Haddon” celebration.  The “Parade of Lights” sponsored by the Westmont Fire Company No.1 will begin at 7:00 pm and make its way down Haddon Ave.  to the municipal building.  Decorated fire trucks, bands, floats, holiday characters and, of course, Santa will all be parading their way to the Township tree.

The tree lighting ceremony will take place immediately following the parade where all of Santa’s helpers will be encouraged to magically light the tree.  Afterwards, families are invited for refreshments at the Westmont Fire Company No. 1 and children will get a chance to sit on Santa’s lap before he returns to the North Pole.  There is no rain date for the event. Be sure to bring you camera!

The Township will also be collecting unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items for the Annual Holiday Toy Drive that evening.
