Martin Luther King Day of Service
Newton Creek Litter Clean up
Haddon Township-West Collingswood Heights
Monday, January 21, 2013
11:30AM – 2:30PM
The Delaware Riverkeeper Network is sponsoring a Litter Cleanup in Haddon Township for the Martin Luther King Day of Service, partnering with the Haddon Township Environmental Commission.
Meet at the intersection of Grant and New York Avenues (just off Nicholson Road and the Black Horse Pike/Rt 168).
As long as there’s not snow on the ground, we’ll be out picking up plastic bottles and other floatables from this quiet section of the South Branch of Newton Creek. There will be bagels and hot drinks and all the tools and trash bags you’ll need. Please bring your own gloves.
Community service letters provided to you on the spot after the clean up.
Please share this with your class, community group and family. Many hands make lite work. If the weather is questionable, check the Delaware Riverkeeper Network at: http://www.delawareriverkeeper.org/about/event.aspx?Id=314 for cancellation information. Registration not required, but appreciated to help us plan. Call Fred at 856.816.8021.
